A Note About Recent Events

In light of recent political developments surrounding autism and neurodivergence, I want to give potential clients a sense of "where I stand" on these issues. In my case it is quite simple: Visit the website for the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN). I am a member, and each time I read a statement, I feel strongly that they have spoken for me!

ASAN has released several statements addressing important concerns regarding initiatives targeting the autistic community. The plans reportedly on the table under the RFK Jr. HHS system raise significant questions about privacy and the approach to autism treatment and support. Because of ASAN's efforts, there is a "united front" against these initiatives that continues to grow. It's working.

I deeply appreciate ASAN's commitment to representing the needs of the autistic community this organization reflects my own values. I stand with them wholeheartedly, hoping that these advocacy efforts will lead to policies that respect and uplift the neurodivergent community.

For anyone who shares my concerns, I encourage you to stay informed and engaged with ASAN’s initiatives. Their website offers a wealth of resources to enhance understanding and advocacy efforts. By supporting their mission, we can collectively ensure our voices resonate louder amidst the noise of public discourse.
